Ark Vivaah is a Hindu Puja ritual in which a man is married to an Ark tree (Akada) to remove Mangal or other marriage doshas in his Kundali. In this ritual, the Ark tree is first worshipped, and then the marriage rituals are performed with it. After that, the Ark tree is moved to one side.
Kundali Dosh Nivaran:
This is especially done for men who have Mangal doshas, or other marriage obstacles in their Kundali, like the influence of cruel planets in the seventh house or the twelfth house.
1. Selection of Shubh Muhurat: First of all, consult an astrologer and select an auspicious date, day, and time for the Puja.
2. Installation and Puja of the Ark Tree: On the day of the Puja, the groom should take a bath and wear clean clothes. The Ark tree (Madar or Cotton tree) is installed at the Puja place. Then the Ark tree is duly worshipped by a Pandit with Vedic mantras.
3. Marriage rituals: The marriage rituals with the Ark tree are completed by making the groom wear a mangalsutra. The Pandit makes the groom take rounds around the Ark tree while chanting mantras.
4. Hawan Poornahuti: After this, the Hawan is performed, and donations are given to the Pandit.
5. Immersion of the Ark tree: After the puja, the Ark tree is uprooted and kept aside or immersed. This is considered the second stage of marriage.
After Ark Vivah, the Mangal Dosh, Graha Dosh, and other marriage-related doshas present in the groom's horoscope are removed, which increases marital happiness.
